Christmas is going down a little differently here this year.
Because we are planning a big move to a new state at the end of this month, (i'm kind of starting to freak out about this,) we didn't want to unpack our decorations and invest in a big beautiful tree. We opted instead to get a tiny, fun tabletop tree for our kitchen. We made a few handmade ornaments, threw on some battery operated lights and Matt strung two bags worth of lifesavers onto string for a fun garland. Now our house feels merry and bright (if not a little torn apart and chaotic also!)
P.S: If you're looking for a somewhat healthier cookie recipe this holiday season, I highly recommend THESE almond butter/oatmeal cookies. I cut the sugar in half and they still came out dangerously good. And make sure you add in 2 eggs if you don't have ground flax on hand! *wink wink!*
